Cohort inclusion criteria
- Agentic SDLC: AI agents that act across the software lifecycle, from autonomous insight to autonomous build and delivery.
- Code generation & modernization: autonomously build, migrate, or modernize production software from requirements, docs, or design systems.
- Engineering intelligence: DORA and flow metrics, delivery analytics, and bottleneck detection across the toolchain.
- Context & integration: reasoning over existing codebases and org docs, with broad Git, CI/CD, and issue-tracker integration.
This cohort deliberately spans two sub-flavors under one rubric: engineering-intelligence analytics and AI coding agents. Each vendor is scored on its actual coverage of every dimension - a capability a vendor's category structurally does not address scores zero (a metrics tool does not generate code; a coding agent does not provide org-wide flow metrics), not a penalty for missing evidence.

- Codebase + context understanding (12%) - ingest and reason over large codebases, org docs, and design systems.
- Dev-toolchain integration (14%) - Git hosts, CI/CD, issue trackers, IDEs, cloud, and observability.
- Governance + code security (10%) - guardrails on autonomous changes, security of generated code, audit, and SSO.
- Enterprise readiness + time-to-value (8%) - named enterprise references, proven scale, ROI, and clear pricing.
