Open to everyone. Buyers suggest tools they want covered. Operators flag tools they wish someone had reviewed before they bought. Vendors are welcome to submit themselves, but Yardstick will not give preferential treatment.

Expect a decision within 7 days. If you include an email, the score and outcome go there too.

The vendor's primary public URL. Must be HTTPS. We do not follow private or internal-IP links.

Pick the closest. If the vendor is a fit for multiple cohorts, the research agent will sort it out.

Be specific. The research agent uses this as a starting point but verifies every claim against public sources.

Optional. If you provide one, you get a confirmation now and a status email when the research completes. Not shared with the vendor.

Common questions about the process

Can I submit my own company?
Yes. Vendor employees can submit their own product. Self-submission is flagged in the audit log but does not change scoring. Self-submitters get no preferential treatment, and the research agent verifies every claim against public sources regardless of who submitted.
How long until the vendor appears in a Yardstick Report?
Typically within 7 days. Submissions flagged for human review can take longer.
What if my vendor scores low?
You get a rejection email with the score, the dimensions where the vendor scored worst, and a documented reason. The vendor stays out of the live Report but the submission record stays in the audit log. You can resubmit if you have new evidence (e.g. a product update that changes the scoring).
Will the vendor know who submitted them?
No. Submitter identity is not shared with vendors. Vendors only see their own scored tear-sheet seven days before publication (the standard right-of-reply process), and they cannot appeal the ranking.
Can I submit a vendor that's already in the Yardstick Report?
The form accepts it, but the dedupe step will merge your suggestion into the existing vendor record. If you have new evidence the existing record doesn't reflect, send it via the fact-check email path (link on every vendor tear-sheet) instead.
Does Yardstick accept payment to prioritize my submission?
No. Same independence rule as every other Yardstick surface: no pay for placement, no pay for prioritization, no pay for inclusion. Submissions are processed in the order they're received. Auto-promotion follows the score, not the source.
